Belated birthday wishes! I took my then-girlfriend to the Gritti not long after we met - she later became my wife. Five kids later there’s a tiny part of me that looks forward to the day when they (the kids) all move out and don’t want to come on holiday with us any more so that we can afford to stay there again.
Is your Venice City Guide still forthcoming? My wife and I will be celebrating our anniversary there soon, and I’ve been looking forward to your recommendations. So much of the Venetian charm is in the maze of back alleys and quieter neighborhoods, but many of the best shops and restaurants are so unassuming they’re easy to miss. Id love a covid-era guide!
