Checking in with a quick update from Optimist HQ. I’ll be signing books tonight at the most excellent Sid Mashburn store in Atlanta, from 5-7pm. If you’re in the area please come by and say hello. Sid and his gang always show gracious hospitality, and the store, as you probably know, is one of the greats.
Some other recent stories in The Optimist universe:
-Wrote about mastering the art of outdoor style for my friends at Artful Living.
-Did a little interview about fly fishing over on The Wading List.
-There was a very nice Airows piece on The Optimist.
-Shared some words about the greatness of L.L. Bean tote bags over on Gear Patrol.
Will be back with another newsletter later this week.
Stay cool out there!

Slow News Day
I couldn’t help but think of you while reading the WSJ this morning- an article about restaurants dropping their “jacket required” policies. The proprietor of the River Café in Brooklyn, where the jacket policy remains in place, said “people have surrendered to the indignities of our society”. Sounds like a Coggins hot-take!
