It’s still a strange time to travel. Ultimately, we end up finding ways to return to the world. After Covid (and not even after it), we’re back in familiar places that aren’t quite as we remember them. We revisit favorite cities and realize they’ve changed—I’m still coming across places in New York that have closed, real estate ghosts floating in my own neighborhood.
This comes to you from London. After a few days of fishing on the River Test, it’s good to be back here. I’m always surprised at London’s enduring traditions, which includes their great stores.
