Fly Fishing Commandments

My friends at Scribner, who are publishing The Optimist, are doing a little giveaway just for subscribers to The Contender.

If you pre-order the book from any retailer (Bookshop, Indiebound, Barnes & Noble, The Big A., etc.), you receive a copy of The Unofficial Fly Fishing Commandments. These are angling words to live by written by yours truly. They are commandments, yes, but are unofficial and not etched in stone (which is a good approach to most angling advice you receive). They include some of Derek Brahney’s great illustrations from the book. Please trust me it’s very nice and fun and might even be sought after on Japanese eBay in ten years.

There’s more! You’ll also get a signed book plate. Since there are going to be fewer signings this year, we thought this might add a personal touch to your book. Please do not analyze my Southpaw handwriting for personality characteristics.

So order the book fill out this form and include your receipt number (if you’ve already pre-ordered, just complete the form with your order number). Do it all before the book comes out on May 4, (US and Canada only). They’ll arrive in mid-May.

Welcome to the wild world of publishing.

I really appreciate the support.

*The book is hardcover. The photo is of an advance paperback review copy.
