A Grander Scheme
The Art of Revisitation
As we age we start to revisit things: places, books, films, restaurants. That’s good, it gives us perspective. Sometimes we do this for familiarity—people turn on a favorite TV show to have in the background or local baseball games on the radio. Or we go to a very good restaurant to celebrate what’s happened since our last visit. We might even try an old beer and be pleasantly reminded of college or how bad it tastes, or both.
